The Registered Office Address (ROA) is the address at which your company is officially, legally, registered upon incorporation. It is displayed on the Public Register of Companies at Companies House.
All companies registered in England or Wales are required by law to have a ROA (a company registered in either England or Wales can move the address to any location in either country).
Your legal, ROA need not be the same as the address from which you trade. As the legal address, the ROA will always be used for official correspondence from Companies House (the UK registrar), HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC; the UK tax authority) and other UK governing bodies, including reminder letters and extremely important documents to do with your company. You may also inform your business bank of your ROA for statements and correspondence.
The ROA must be secure and be the address at which the company, its directors and shareholders can be contacted by post. The ROA must be able to accept mail and, if necessary, sign for it during office hours. It is not possible to use a PO Box as a Registered Office Address. Other requirements of a ROA are that the Company Registration Number and the ROA must be displayed on your company stationary (letterhead and invoices).

There are several advantages to having a Registered Office Address:
You can nominate dns as your ROA. We will forward any mail we receive for you to the address you supply.
*Please note that if you wish dns to receive other non-official mail (other than mail from your business bank, Companies House or HMRC), you will need to purchase from us a Business Trading Address.

dns offer a ROA service. Your ROA is the address at which your company is officially, legally, registered upon incorporation. It is displayed on the Public Register of Companies at Companies House..

No, you cannot use a P.O. Box as your ROA. Your ROA must be secure premises where mail can be received and signed for if necessary.
It is your legal address only, if you want to use dns for all your business correspondence, then you must register with us and tell us you require a business trading address.
Your ROA must be used for official correspondence from Companies House (the UK registrar), HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC; the UK tax authority) and other UK governing bodies, including reminder letters and extremely important documents to do with your company. You may also inform your business bank of your ROA for statements and correspondence.
dns will open and date-stamp all your mail. If the mail is from HMRC, Companies House or contains bank statements or other important documents to do with your business and accounts, then we will action it. We will scan and email or send to you by post all mail that arrives for you.
We will email, fax or post any mail to you; please be sure to always supply us the correct address where you would like to receive correspondence to do with your business.
There are plenty of advantages but the main ones are that you are able to use DNS’s prestigious London address; we are in the office from early in the morning to late at night to receive post and packages, we are secure and so you know that even the most sensitive of documents are safe with us. Furthermore, we will never hassle you for documents because we will receive and action them on your behalf.
As soon as we have your authority (the form and your signature) dns will inform all statutory bodies of your change of address. We will ask you to notify your business bank.
It certainly is, and what’s more it’s a lot less expensive than if you rent a prestigious London address.
With your ROA at dns you will have a prestigious address to display on your letterhead. It will mean also that all your official mail can be directed to our address which is open early until late Monday to Friday. We are also able to process much of this mail because as your accountant much of it will consist of bank, HMRC and other official documents that belong with us anyway. The ROA service is an excellent provision that is completely tax deductable, and many of our clients that make use of this service also use the Secure Storage facility we offer.
If it suits you, you may display both your ROA and your business address, but if you don’t want to, for security purposes for example, you can choose to display only your ROA.
dns offer a call answering service to a number of our clients, so yes we can act as your answering service and we could discuss tying it in with your ROA address service at very reasonable rates.
