Tax Investigation

Protect yourself with our Tax Investigation Insurance Service

With HMRC investigations happening more and more frequently tax investigations pose a risk and can be disruptive to any business. Even if you have paid your tax and kept accounts accurate, an investigation can still be opened against you. On average a full HMRC investigation can last up to 16 months and cost you thousands of pounds.

DNS Tax Investigation Cover service is fully backed by an Insurance Policy, which the practice has taken out with Croner taxwise. It ensures that you’re covered against the costs associated with representing your case should HMRC run an investigation on your business or you personally. DNS will support you in the investigation and your case will be handled by an expert to give you complete peace of mind (exclusions apply).

Tax Investigation Cover is included in our Premium and Gold packages. Starter and Basic package clients can obtain the cover by paying a small monthly or annual fee.

Our Tax Investigation Cover Includes

  • Any compliance check started by HMRC regarding your compliance with Income Tax and/or Corporation Tax Self- Assessment: PAYE, National Insurance, Construction Industry, IR35; VAT; National Minimum Wage or Gift Aid legislation and regulations; and
